In February of 2021, we were placed in the same room far too many times for it to be a coincidence. At the ripe age of sixteen, we were hired for our very first jobs, and the universe seemed determined to bring us together. First, we were interviewed on the same day. Then, we were called in for onboarding on the same day. Finally, we were placed side-by-side for our on-the-job training. Three separate days, three separate chances, and each time, we were exactly where the other was. Even before a single word was spoken, there was a quiet gravity between us—a sense that our lives were already being pulled together. As it turned out, our steps had been aligning all along. We had spent weeks passing each other in our high school hallways like strangers, never knowing we were already meant to be everything to one another. Once Noah finally found Natalee through mutual friends and realized all the ways we were fated to connect, we became instantly inseparable.
