Our wedding is located on an island, Ilha de Santa Catarina, which most people just call Florianópolis or Floripa. Florianópolis is the capital city of the state of Santa Catarina.
The airport (FLN) is easily accessed from the US, with most international flights landing in São Paulo (GRU), followed by a short flight to Floripa.
Uber is a good option. It's also possible to rent a car at the airport. Driving in Floripa is relatively relaxed, but there is traffic at times.
There is a variety of options for accommodation close to the wedding venue, beaches, restaurants and other activities.
