Once upon a time, a boy and a girl met through mutual friends at AnimeNext 2013 in Somerset, NJ. They became friends and saw each other sparingly over the next few years before drifting apart as their lives went different directions.
Despite not talking for over two years, Frank and Nicole reconnected after she commented on an Ant-Man post on his Instagram. Frank then asked Nicole to join him for a trip to the local comic book store, where they caught up on how things have been going in each other's lives. From there, they continued to hang out over the summer months and got to know each other better.
One night, Nicole met up with Frank at The Record Store to browse through the comics and then invited him to dinner at a local hibachi restaurant, Ikko. During dinner, Nicole accidentally stepped on Frank's foot and commented on how she was such a klutz and how embarrassed she would later be when people asked how dinner went with him. This is when they both started to realize that the friendship might lead to something more and they shared their first kiss.
After several months of spending time together, Frank asked Nicole to make things official on a Friday the 13th after seeing an anime film - One Piece: Gold - with her and some friends. From that moment on, they spent their time laughing, experiencing new things like the Tree Top Adventures in the Poconos and making chocolate bars at Hershey Park, splashing about at Kalahari, and sharing their interest of comics, anime, and renaissance faires.
Two years later, almost to the day, Frank planned a special proposal. He recreated some of their firsts by bringing Nicole to a hibachi place for dinner (where they shared their first kiss) and then seeing an anime film - Dragon Ball Super: Broly (like when Frank asked Nicole out). After the movie, despite the bitter cold, Frank asked Nicole to marry him outside the movie theater with his sister videotaping from the roof. (No worries, she is a manager there.) Frank even made a lantern himself to include in the proposal since Nicole's favorite Disney movie is Tangled. It was a beautiful proposal, despite the lantern catching on fire, and Nicole said yes after many "Really?"s and "Oh my god!"s.
