Robyn and Charlie first met each other when they started secondary school in September of 2004. Robyn used to fancy him in year 7 before he started going out with her school friend and then turned into an annoying teenager! Robyn was a little geek at school and Charlie was very mischievous so that would have never worked as childhood sweethearts. After a couple of years they got back into contact when they worked in Ibiza for the summer. But this soon ended when Robyn went back to Southampton to university and they went their separate ways. After another couple of years Charlie reached out to Robyn with a cute photo of them two when they were about 13 (this was part of his game plan and a perfect way back in!) They exchanged a few texts and then Charlie said he had 'a really bad back' and needed a massage as he knew Robyn had started her own business in sports massage. After Charlie came for a massage he left no hesitation in asking her out for a drink, to which Robyn said no. But with a lot of perseverance and after one too many drinks at a boozy brunch in London, Robyn decided to go for it and they went out for dinner that night to Marconatos in Hoddesdon. After falling asleep on the train and turning up drunk on the first date Charlie obviously thought this was the woman of his dreams as they have never looked back since!

Charlie and Robyn had always planned to climb Mount Snowdon in the year 2019 and without Robyn even realising, this was going to be the place Charlie was going to propose. After moving into their first home together the day before, Robyn was very reluctant on the lead up to the weekend asking 'why are we even going?' and trying to rearrange the day. (Charlie always said that Robyn would ruin his engagement plans!) After persuading her it was going to be a great weekend in severe weather warning conditions, they left early Saturday morning to drive to Wales. Once they arrived they realised how bad the weather was and they might not even make it to the top. After a few hours into the hike, Robyn refused to go any further after speaking to a man who had made it to the top and couldn't even stand up! That's right, she ruined his plan! In a panic Charlie scurried off to the bottom on the cliff where they were climbing and asked a lady if he could take a photo and that he was going to propose. She replied 'Oh my God! I don't think I can do this! This is a big responsibility!'. As Robyn came walking down Charlie called out 'Babe, lets have a photo' Robyn came walking over, pose at the ready, hen all of a sudden he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. A very wet and windy but PERFECT proposal. Robyn had already pre-packed gin and prosseco for the journey down, so she opened the bag and cracked them open straight away telling everyone that walked past 'WE JUST GOT ENGAGED!'
