Spring of 2023 led to an unexpected connection as Austin took a fieldwork position at Pediatrics Plus in Chattanooga, TN, where Ally had worked for some time. Austin had initially resisted the idea of moving away from home, but felt a calling from the Lord to pursue a placement in Chattanooga. When Austin arrived, Ally was away on a trip, but she kept getting text messages about "a new CUTE guy working at the clinic that she HAD TO MEET!!!" Once she was back, she promptly skipped to OT Land, where she saw a pair of blue eyes that changed her life. The two were great friends throughout the placement before Austin moved to Atlanta. They often describe the time apart as an opportunity to grow as individuals and attribute the reconnection as all part of God's perfect timing. They found their way back to each other in Winter 2024 and dated for 8 months before getting engaged on July 18, 2025. Throughout their time together, they have fallen more deeply in love than both could ever know to be possible. They enjoy shared activities such as cooking, caring for plants and dogs, watching sports, exploring nature, and mostly just being in each other's presence. They both agree that life started when they started dating, and they can't wait for the future that the Lord has planned for them as a married couple.
