Nash and Sharita’s story began in February 2020, when they met working in Port Barre. Their time as coworkers was brief—just about a month—but they remembered each other. After Sharita moved on from the job, they stayed connected through Facebook, sharing a few flirty moments here and there, though nothing serious came of it at the time. It wasn’t until March 2023 that things began to shift. Sharita and Nash were messaging on Facebook when Sharita said "text me crazy" and sent her number. Nash was interested right away, but Sharita—fresh out of a serious relationship—kept some distance. Despite her leaving her on read more than once, Nash stayed persistent. Although a few people were putting in a good word for Nash, Sharita still had her guards up. Even so, Nash's best friend Chelsey kept her motivated, knowing her heart was in it. Then came June 2023. Chelsey invited Sharita to join them for Nash’s birthday trip to New Orleans. That weekend changed everything. From that point on, Nash and Sharita were inseparable—spending time together every single day, getting to know each other on a deeper level. I guess those hand grenades helped out. Their first official date was on June 30th. Nash set the mood: she decorated the living room, took Sharita to Feezo’s, and when they got home, they spent the evening painting and vibing. That night, Nash told Chelsey, “Yeah, it’s a wrap. That’s my lady.” Just a couple weeks later, on July 12th, Nash asked Sharita to be her girlfriend. She decorated the house and made the moment special—one that they’d both never forget. Then, on November 15, 2024, during Sharita’s birthday party, Nash got down on one knee and proposed. She was nervous, sweating, but after a few shots from her friends and the approval from Sharita's kids she was full of courage and knew this was the perfect time. It was one of the happiest nights of their lives. From the very beginning, Nash promised to love Sharita and her two daughters, A’myhri and Ronnee, with everything in her. And that promise has only grown stronger. Their love story isn’t just about timing—it’s about patience, persistence, laughter, and real connection.
