Right across the river from downtown Spokane, this is a good spot to walk or get a bite to eat.
Coeur d'Alene
It's an hour drive from Spokane, but it has the best downtown shopping and is right on the beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene.
Manito Park
If you are looking for a nice park walk, it's hard to get any better than Manito Park. Located in the South Hill area of Spokane, it has 90 acres of park and includes formal and informal flower gardens, a conservatory, a rose garden, a Japanese garden, and more.
Bowl And Pitcher Overlook
This was one of the first places my dad "discovered" when we first moved to Spokane. He came back and was very excited about this cool trail system that goes across the river and has one of the best overlook spots along the river. We don't go as often now, but it's certainly worth checking out for first time visitors.
