Jeeze! Where do we even begin?! There is no other way to describe "how we met" other than the simple fact that we were meant to cross paths. One spitfire young lady with a big attitude from Saginaw, MI. A mellow young man from Canovanas, Puerto Rico. Both which miraculously ended up in Arlington, Texas at Paul Mitchell the School in 2012. We went from being total strangers, to acquaintances in the hallways, to friends who went to lunch together, to best-friends who we told everything to, to being a tad more than friends, and to now being engaged. We have been through so many things together and are more than ready for everything else that is in store for our future!
It was a regular day at cosmetology school. We were always learning new things and new techniques in core class. This particular day we were learning to do perms on our doll heads(nothing to exciting) Now, the proper way to do a perm set is to stand strait and keep ur elbows up as ur rolling rods into your clients hair. I was always on my A-Game at school but on this day of all days, I was being lazy and not putting to much effort into it (perms were not my favorite)lol. Out of nowhere a random person comes up behind me and pushes my elbows up and says "Your elbows need to be up". I remember lookin at him thinking "Who The F*** does he think he is?!" "Don't be touching me!" "I don't even know you!" "He doesn't even have this class right now" "what is he doin in here?"... But all that came out my mouth was... "ok". lol. 6 years later this man would turn out to be the man who I call My fiancé.
There was never a "how we met" per say. More like a connection that was just meant to be re connected by mere faith. Since the very first day I met her I would always tell her "I'm going to marry you some day". Now, if y'all know Yaya y'all know she'd be hesitant to the idea. All I'd get from her was a "what ever" "yeah right". 6 years later here we are, and a year later she will be my lady.
