It's a story of boy meets girl. My eyes locked on her and I couldn't move. Literally! So, my groomsman, Leo tells it. After the CIAA party Nappaye was the only woman I wanted. After the CIAA I saw Quincy looking at me. At first, it felt nice. I thought not much of it and kept walking. Later, I felt the strong unpleasing gaze of another man. To avoid an awkward experience I immediately walked up to Quincy and started a conversation. Moments later, I helped him put my number into his phone. We were both hooked. After that night we talked daily. Two weeks later he came to Rhode Island. Six months later I moved to Charlotte.
I came home the morning of Christmas Eve. I must’ve just missed him because when I opened the lockbox on my apartment door not only did it have my key-fob, it also had a wedding band. I thought to myself "...But where's the wedding ring? Quincy was in South Carolina dropping presents off to family, so I instantly called my girls’. Confused, I wanted to know -is this for real? When I called Quincy, he denied knowing about it. Christmas Day he worked, so he was back in Charlotte. He came to my apartment that afternoon to exchange gifts. Dressed in his sheriff's uniform he got down on one knee, presented my wedding ring, and proposed. I was anxious, nervous, and still confused but my answer was, and still is, YES! We're happy that you are coming to share the start of our newest journey. See you in Charlotte!
