Marcus and Lauren’s story began the way many modern love stories do: on Hinge. What started as a few messages quickly turned into something more when they discovered they shared a love for dogs, Disney, and—most importantly—family. After plenty of chatting, they finally met in person at Stone Brewery in Escondido. Over good drinks and even better conversation, they were able to really get to know each other. Marcus still likes to joke that Lauren “ran off” during the date, but she insists (rightfully so) that she had an overseas work call she warned him about ahead of time. Despite the brief interruption, it was clear they had something special, and from that point on, they were seeing each other consistently. As their relationship grew, so did their shared adventures. Marcus introduced Lauren to Star Wars, while Lauren happily joined him for countless Disney dates. Somewhere between lightsabers and castle fireworks, their bond only deepened. Marcus eventually planned the ultimate surprise: a proposal in front of the castle at Disney World. With the help of their amazing friends Calen and Maranda, who captured every magical moment on film and in photos, Marcus popped the question. What he didn’t know was that this exact moment had been Lauren’s dream since she was little—making it more magical than either of them could have imagined. Since then, they’ve bought their first home together, officially started “the farm,” and blended their families—both human and furry. Their household now includes five dogs and four cats (and counting). Lauren dreams of adopting every animal in need, while Marcus proudly serves as the voice of reason, gently talking her off the ledge… most of the time. Together, they’ve built a life full of love, laughter, Disney magic, and a whole lot of paw prints. They can’t wait to celebrate their next chapter surrounded by family and friends at Temecula Creek on November 21, 2026.
