Alex and Molly were in Boston before heading on a fall foliage tour through New Hampshire and Vermont for Molly’s birthday. Boston was the first stop, and Alex had the engagement ring burning a hole in his pocket. Alex kept insisting they go to a park before dinner, even though it was on the other side of the city. So they got dressed up and went to the park! Of course while they were getting ready, Molly decided to feel around all of Alex’s coat pockets looking for said ring. He was smart enough to take it out of its box, and Molly was none the wiser. On the ride there, Alex was very quiet, which is out of character. Once at the park, they were walking over a bridge and admiring the sunset when Alex asked Molly if she wanted her birthday present a few days early. She of course said absolutely, wondering how he was hiding a new handbag in his sports coat. Alex got down on one knee and surely said a lot of really sweet things that Molly doesn’t remember, but she does remember saying YES! It was the perfect proposal, and they celebrated with Italian food and champagne and an awesome week-long roadtrip!
