Naomi and Vishal's story started off as a string of lukewarm dates that neither expected much from. Vishal was in his intern year of residency. Naomi was in her third year of medical school. Both of them were just casually dating and not expecting anything big in the near future. It was just another night of mindless swiping on a dating app (like the good millennials they are) when both of them got another random match. Naomi quickly checked his profile and it read "Surgeon, NJ." She chuckled a little then got off her phone thinking why she even uses these apps. Who do these Indian boys think they're even impressing? Vishal read hers and it said "Once you go brown, you gotta lock that shit down." Even though her profile said she was from Dallas and he thought it was corny and he shot her a quick message cause she looked pretty cute. Cue some texting back forth and crazy plans were made for Vishal to visit Naomi for a few days in Dallas. Why not, he thought? They met and it was expectedly awkward. No sparks were flying, conversation was pretty dry and it didn't seem like they had anything in common. A couple boring dates and a mini-tour of Dallas later, Vishal went back home and both of them went on with their lives. However they continued to text even after the disaster of a date. Texting became facetiming and Naomi thought why not give this guy another chance. She decided to fly to Philly for a weekend two months later and this time it was right. They continued to visit eachother and before they knew it they were planning a future together. Neither of them expected it to happen, but somehow it did. Naomi eventually interviewed for Emergency Medicine and after A LOT of convincing and Vishal promising that he would shovel all the snow, she ended up an icy tundra with Vishal. Before they knew it, they were doing residency together. Now, they're having an amazing time exploring Milwaukee and are happier than ever.
