The Rio is a great area in Gaithersburg with a walkable downtown area with shops, restaurants and great hotels. It is next to I-270 which is the highway that will take you to both wedding locations. It is about 20 minutes from The Santiago House and 25 minutes from the Monument Church Property.

Flight
BWI is our favorite airport to fly in and out of because it avoids DC traffic, easy to navigate and less busy. It's 40 minutes from The Rio where we recommended hotel locations and 50 minutes from The Santiago House.
Flight
Dulles usually has the most flight options of airports in the area. We prefer this airport to Reagan because you avoid the DC traffic. This airport is in Virginia and about an hour drive (without traffic) from The Santiago House and The Rio. But, traffic on weekday evenings particularly out of the Northern Virginia and DC area is chaos!
Rental Car
Dulles Enterprise has a shuttle service to their rental location near the airport which makes it convenient of drop off or pickup.
Flight
Reagan is the other airport in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. I don't prefer this airport, unless you are staying in DC. It is just a lot of work to get in and out of this area. But if you are staying in DC, it is a great option since there is a metro stop and it is in DC.
House Or Rental
Some DC airbnb options if you want to spend time in the city when you are here! We live 45 minutes to an hour outside of the city depending on where you are. There is obviously a ton to do and the metro is super convenient.

Gaithersburg and Damascus Airbnb options if you want to stay closer to the ceremony and reception locations and have a larger group. There are mainly full houses for rent in our area since we live in a more suburban/farmland area up into Damascus. It is a beautiful place to stay, but less convenient, and requires a car to get everywhere. September to October is my favorite time of year here!

Train Information for DC! The Red line starts in Gaithersburg. There is a train from Dulles and Reagan Airports.
