Matunuck Oyster Bar
We'll be having a sendoff lunch here on Monday morning, but if you aren't able to join us this is one of our favorite places for dining with stunning views. Delicious oysters and raw bar! We also love the stuffies, the oyster trio, the chowder, the lobster roll (try it hot!), and the fish and chips- but nothing will disappoint! Reservations recommended.
Beavertail State Park
Beautiful cliffs and covey-beaches. A little rough to get to but well worth it.
Monahan's Clam Shack
Great Clam Shack very close to the venue. We love NE chowder and clamcakes, clam strips, fish and chips, and the lobster rolls.
Narrow River Kayaks
Here you can rent kayaks and paddle down the narrow river until it meets the Narragansett Bay, at the end of the beach where the wedding ceremony and reception will take place. This adventure was one of our first dates.
Anthony's Seafood
Local spot for great seafood. Our order: Fish and chips and RI chowder
Le Bec Sucré
Excellent french pastries near Newport.
Second Beach
A great beach near Newport. Can be crowded in the summer/ expensive to park in the day, but head here around sunset for fewer crowds and free parking.
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge
Located near second beach, close to Newport, this wildlife refuge has free parking and trails leading to stunning coastal views.

Olneyville New York System
World famous RI hot wieners. Get one (or two or three!) all the way and a coffee milk. We also love the "mousetrap" (grilled cheese).

Excellent selection of baked goods and breads. Easy breakfast stop- several locations in and near Providence.

Good coffee with several locations in Providence.
RISD Museum
If you have some time to kill or to seek refuge from whatever undesirable weather mother nature may throw at us, this is a really nice collection of art.

Block Island Ferry
If you have a little time to kill, a day trip to Block Island would be a lovely adventure.
