Take a walk down Venice Avenue on the Island for dinner, drinks, ice cream or shopping.
Have dinner at the beach at Fins, or The Crows Nest.
Sarasota has a much larger downtown, more restaurants, bars and shopping. The Marina Jack is a waterfront restaurant that is special.
If you like history and art, The Ringling Museum is a wonderful experience.
If you are more into nature, the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is also in north Sarasota and is amazing.
