We’re Getting Married!

In August 2019, Naomi was moving into her new college apartment at Orchard Trails in Orono, Maine. As she and her roommates settled in, they quickly realized they couldn’t get the WiFi router to work. While Naomi’s mom was outside unloading boxes, she ran into a guy in the parking lot and asked if he knew anything about setting up WiFi routers. He replied, “I don’t, but my roommate Nick just set ours up.” It turned out that Nick lived directly upstairs from Naomi. Later that day, Nick’s roommate brought Nick down to Naomi’s apartment to fix her WiFi—and the rest is history. Naomi and Nick became close almost instantly and were soon inseparable. On October 15, 2019, Nick officially asked Naomi to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of their love story. From library dates and gym sessions to nights out with friends, Naomi and Nick loved doing life side by side. When the world slowed down during COVID, so did they—spending their time working, staying in, and growing even closer. They moved into their first apartment together in Old Town, Maine in August 2020. In 2022, after graduation, Nick accepted a job in Dover, New Hampshire, their new home. To celebrate this new chapter, Nick’s parents gifted them their first cruise to the Bahamas, sparking a shared love for travel. Since then, exploring together, especially their trips to Jamaica, has held a special place in their hearts. Life hasn’t always been easy, and together they’ve faced great loss at a young age. Through it all, they’ve been each other’s constant—each other’s rock, biggest supporter, and safe place—proving that together, they can handle anything life brings. In April 2024, Nick and Naomi took a trip to Cancún, Mexico, where Nick asked Naomi to marry him. They’ve loved every moment of being engaged and are so excited to begin their next chapter together as husband and wife.
