Pithi Details
The Pithi ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding ritual in which family and friends offer the couple sweets and blessings for happiness and good fortune. This joyful and festive celebration includes music and dancing, symbolizing the couple’s readiness for marriage and the love and support of their families. It marks a meaningful moment of celebration and the beginning of the couple’s new life together.
As the celebration continues, we will be ending the night by embracing a playful tradition known as the Dirty Pithi. Loved ones may toss eggs, milk, and other harmless but messy ingredients on the groom as a lighthearted way to tease, celebrate, and send him off into married life with lots of laughter.
