The venue is a small vineyard with a house that has been converted into a restaurant, and an outdoor pavilion. We'll strictly be at the outdoor pavilion, so keep that in mind when planning out your outfits! The pavilion is covered with the bar, dance floor, and tables. Bathrooms will be a short walk to the inside of the building, where the venue will still be holding dinner service for the public! The ceremony will be in a grassy area, weather permitting, so keep that in mind for any heels!
We wanted to keep this ceremony pretty small, so we are estimating around 30 people to attend. These are just our closest family members!
Appetizers: Artichoke Dip with Crostini, Hummus with Naan, Seasonal Fruit Tray and Bruschetta Mains (Buffet Style, so no need to specify your preferences): Smoked Peppered Ribeye, Chicken Poblano Pasta, House Salad, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables Dessert: TBD (but best believe we're gonna have something really good since we're big fans of dessert). Please note any dietary restrictions in your RSVP! All dietary restrictions will be accommodated even if that means a special plate for you, so you're not limited to what's listed above!
San Antonio is unfortunately not a very walkable city, so we do recommend renting a car if you are not local or not bringing your own to get around. We also have two cars (both 5-seater sedans), so if you need to borrow Michael or Naomi's car, just reach out to either one of us!
The wedding venue is about 45 minutes away by car from downtown San Antonio. Downtown is where all the touristy and cool San Antonio attractions are, so we recommend staying around there (see Travel tab for some recommendations). It's a bit pricier, and if you have a car, you usually have to pay for valet/parking. If you want to stay closer to the wedding venue, Airbnb would probably be your best bet since it's in the Texas Hill Country. The airport is halfway between downtown and the venue, so hotels around the airport is a good middle ground! We'll likely be staying at a hotel for the weekend, so if you want to stay at our house, we may have (2) beds available, a sofa bed, along with a full sized/twin sized air mattresses available, so just let us know if you want to hang out with Penny, Pepper, and Squid! First come, first served!
Oak Valley Vineyards has plenty of parking, but the drive in (or out) may be a bit dark, so please keep that in mind, and drive safe! For Hops and Hounds, there is free street parking available (limited), and there is a small parking lot next to it that has limited spaces and cost ~$10.
