It was October 10, 2020. The sun was shining, the ceremony music was playing, and Leta Wester (now Faust) was walking down the aisle. Love was in the air! For more than just the Fausts. After one too many vodka crans, compliments of the open bar, I gathered the courage to go say hi to the cute guy in the gray suit. "Hi! My name's Naomi! What's your name?" As if that opener wasn't already cringey enough, I had the audacity to do it all over again 10 minutes later. A week went by and I assumed the gray suit guy forgot about me, even with me introducing myself twice. But alas! A ping on my iPhone from Instagram and gray suit guy. Tentative plans were made and ultimately canceled. Infrequent flirtation continued over the next couple of weeks before I finally saw him again at a friend's house for New Years Eve. I can't speak for Brandon, but I was instantly hooked (again). This time we kept up communication, and shortly after NYE we went on our first date to Centro. Three months later, I left for Hawaii and spent 8 weeks finishing my PA school rotations. Brandon visited for 10 days and Hawaii became a pivotal change in our relationship. As much as we fell in love with island life and Hawaii itself, we also fell in love with each other. We loved our time in Hawaii so much that we'll be returning for our honeymoon!
