Things To Do
San Francisco
SF is a great place to visit for a day! Checkout Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, the Golden Gate Bridge, Twin Peaks, The Ferry Building Marketplace, Lands End, and Alcatraz Island!
Santa Cruz
Check out the beach where Apoorva and Naomi met! The Santa Cruz beaches are about an hour drive away from Burlingame, and we highly recommend visiting if you have the time! Seabright beach, Twin Lakes beach, the Boardwalk, and Marianne's Ice Cream are classics.
Half Moon Bay
Another great set of beaches to visit if you have a free day, and only about 30 minutes from Burlingame! Dunes Beach and Poplar Beach are good options, and there's also some good hikes in the area.
Wine Tasting
It's famous for a reason! If you're in town for longer and have the time to make it out to Napa, you won't regret making the trek to wine county. If you want something a bit closer, there are also some great wineries in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Portola Valley.
Stanford University
Visit Naomi's alma mater - a beautiful campus to walk around if you have some free time. Take a picture at the Quad, visit the Psychology building (Naomi's major), hike The Dish, or go fountain hopping like a Stanford student!
Hikes
There are plenty of great hikes in the bay area! Some of our favorites are Castle Rock State Park (Los Gatos), Wunderlich County Park (Woodisde - our first date!), Lands End (SF), Mission Peak (Milpitas), Sierra Vista (San Jose), and Alum Rock (San Jose).
