Nano: It was during WOW week at Master's and I had been attempting to avoid many of the events during that week, but a friend convinced me to go to the Hotchkiss pool party. I was introduced to Mackenzie and I could not believe how gorgeous this girl was and I immediately liked her and wanted to date her. It only took 2 years for me to make my move. In the second semester of my sophomore year, some very significant and life changing things happened. The Lord saved me, and a few months later Kenzie was on the market and I had to act extremely fast. I did wait a couple minutes after I found out the news, then it felt right. After a rigorous couple of weeks with my crew of wingmen and the constant rejection and friend zone I received from Kenzie, I finally convinced her to go on a date with me to an event at Master's. It was a ground-breaking night as I told her my feelings towards her and she told me, "I kind of like you too, but don't get your hopes up." We spent the whole summer getting closer and talking every day and visiting each other a few times, and officially started dating October 5, 2018. I knew the moment we started dating that I was going to marry this girl. Kenzie is the most selfless, caring, beautiful, godly woman I know, and I had always told my friends that I would drop everything if Kenzie were to become available. I was her biggest and most emotional fan for the years I got to watch her play volleyball, and I will continue to be her biggest fan the rest of my life. Our relationship has been an unbelievable blessing from the Lord, and Kenzie is completely out of my league. I hate being apart form her and I love her incredible personality, ability to make me laugh, her kind heart and desire to honor Christ. I have been planning on marrying her since she said yes to go on a date with me, and I cannot believe I get to spend the rest of my life with her.
Kenzie: I met Nano at the Hotchkiss pool party our freshman year of college. He was so funny and made me laugh the whole time we talked. I knew I had to get to know this guy. We hung out in groups throughout our freshman year, but he never made a move. I eventually started dating someone else, but we remained friends. Nano sent me a text literally moments after I became single again. I was so confused how he found out so quickly, but I texted him back anyway. We started talking every day, but I friend-zoned him right away. I told him he was "one of my really good friends." This didn't seem to stop him from asking me to go on dates with him almost every day. I refused to go on an actual date, so we had a lot of study dates on campus. Eventually, I gave in when he asked me to Monty's. I had so much fun with him that night and I totally had a crush on him. However, at the end of the night when he asked me how I felt about him, I told him "not to get his hopes up." He was so persistent even when I was making it very difficult for him. He became my best friend and the person I wanted to spend every second with. I fell in love with the way he treated people and his ability to make everyone feel comfortable and included. He can make me laugh more than anyone, and I know that life will never be boring with him. Nano is the most genuine, hilarious, and hard-working person I have ever met. I am so thankful for his desire to honor the Lord throughout our relationship. He is the biggest blessing in my life and I am so thankful for how the Lord brought us together. I love him so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by his side.
