How We Met

From two worlds to one purpose, with God's perfect timing.

It all began with a divine connection, through a mutual family friend who clearly had an eye for destiny. Though we came from different parts of the world and walked very different paths, God was already writing a story we didn’t see coming. Nani, originally from the city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a heart for healing and a spirit grounded in faith. She earned her degree from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. Outside of work, she finds joy in long walks, weightlifting, listening to Afrogospel, and coffee shop hopping wherever she goes. Jason, born and raised in Maidbronn, Germany, is a dedicated Scientist with a deep passion for discovery, innovation, and purpose-driven work. He graduated from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and when he’s not in the lab or analyzing data, he enjoys strategy games, sports, music, and building creative projects that stretch the imagination. Our paths crossed thanks to a trusted family friend (you know who you are 😉) who knew us both well and somehow knew we’d be better together. After weeks of conversations, encouragement, and prayer, we finally met in person over dinner at a cozy Thai soul food restaurant. From that very first meeting, it was clear this connection was something special. Over time, our friendship turned into love, and our love turned into purpose. Through laughter, faith, deep conversations, and shared dreams, we grew closer together and always kept God at the center of our journey. On February 6, 2025, in the warm glow of a Jamaican sunset in Ocho Rios, Jason asked the question that would change everything. Nani didn’t just say yes, she prayed yes. Her answer wasn’t just emotional, it was spiritual, a "yes" rooted in reflection, faith, and God’s perfect timing. Now, as we prepare to say “I do” on October 25, 2025, we walk together, with God first, toward a future filled with love, purpose, and promise. We can’t wait to celebrate this moment with the people who have loved, supported, and prayed for us along the way. With love, Nani & Jason
