Jaron's my older brother and is the only sibling that doesn't live in Alaska. Being only a short bit away in Vegas this makes it easy for us to see each other regularly. From a young age Jaron has always been one to push me into new things. When I was young he was a big influence getting me into sports and even now he's been getting me more into golf. My favorite memory of us growing up starts the summer of my Junior year of High School. That year was a cold, awful year fishing so we stayed inside and played a lot of chess. And I lost. A lot. It was probably the worst stretch either of us had vs each other since I learned how to play. Fast forward to basketball season and we are on a roadtrip to Kenai. Jaron starts bragging about being better than me at chess which the team refuses to believe. Jaron reminds me of his dominant summer and I proudly refute this baseless claim. A best of 7 tournament was on. So while Brie was playing her JV game Jaron and I were being bad siblings and settling an old chess duel. I'm running out of words but I swept him in 4 matches. No one would ever believe Jaron after that

Jarye is my younger brother, but he's also been my longest tenured roommate. We were clearly not the favored of the quartet and were the only two that had to share a room into high school. Being a bit younger than the other 3 of us, Jarye also took frequent beatings in our family board game nights especially Monopoly. But iron sharpens iron (or the bitterness of usury trades) has made him the fiercest of us all and he easily drives the harshest bargains when trading. This extended to other things like being able to withhold telling my dad where he had hid the icepick for an entire winter (although Brie and I ended up getting the worst end on that one). He's also always had a great sense of fairness which has come through even from a young age. He once refused to rig a game in favor of my less honorable cousin Patrick which would have screwed over his own twin Elizabeth over who would be the DD for the night. Jarye lives in Anchorage and fishes during the summer

Rishav I met through Nandini and similar to the rest of the Mukherjee's has been nothing short of warm and welcoming to me. We quickly bonded over video games as I was happy to teach the young fellow how to git gud at Rocket League. Over the course of us playing he somehow learned how to manipulate the bonuses to always give himself spikes to turn our matches. This should have been a warning sign for me to watch out in future games. Instead when we moved on to Mortal Kombat I got completely hustled. Someone who claimed to have played "only 2 games ever" was able to pull off an 80 move combo which allowed him to separate my head from my body. Take his claims on how often he's played certain games at your own peril. I'm super excited to have him as a brother and to continue our video games and cooking adventures. He's currently at Arizona State where I have a lot of family around and it's been great slowly meeting and merging the two families.
Officiant
Arjun I met at Caltech and was a member of the Caltech basketball team with me and Pan. Mr CEO is one of the most organized and professional people I have ever been around and we're so excited to have him officiate our wedding. He's a very detail-oriented guy which is why it's truly shocking how bad he is at board games. Easily the worst at Puerto Rico of my friends who play and I also don't think he's ever finished above me at Wingspan. It's a good thing there's no score to achieve as an officiant. Arjun lives on the east coast splitting time between Miami and Boston so we don't see each other in person nowadays but are able to keep a pretty lively chat. That plus our online boardgaming with Pan always gives us a chance to catch up and stay up to date on how each others' startups are doing. He also comes out yearly for the Caltech Basketball Alumni game where he's kind of reversed roles from undergrad and he outscores me in those games. Apparently a good jump shot ages well.

Fitch I met through my co-worker's roommate who worked in the same lab as Fitch's high school friend (Tom). Fitch and his girlfriend at the time (now wife) Colleen had moved out to North Hollywood which happened to be where Arjun was also living at the time. Both Tom and myself now both had a reason to go to North Hollywood so we decided to split an Uber and just merge plans. We clicked pretty much instantly and even when Arjun left California (and later Tom would also leave) Nandini and I continued our frequent trips over to hang out. Fitch hearing I played Quarterback in High School wanted to get me to play in his Flag Football League. I agree figuring that since he's a Bears fan expectations had to be low since he'd have no experience seeing competent Quarterback play. I'm glad I did because it's been a lot of fun and the LAFF is easily the best league I've played in down here. Always one up for a debate we still are wondering: T-Swift or Brittany? Is roofing a chore? Is being afraid of the Titanic a legitimate fear? And the one that Jaron got super invested in: What happened to that Malaysian Air Flight?

Worlow I met at Caltech as he lived in the same dorm as Nandini and myself (along with Pan and Ping). We were known for being super professional and were tasked with co-managing the most successful coffeehouse on campus. In an effort to keep our professional image on campus we ended up making our most exciting memories during our travels together. While some have not ended perfectly (A skunk brought our Senior year cross-country road trip to an immediate end) we've gone to Carlsbad Caverns, took a trip (with Pan) to Joshua Tree National Park, went to La Republica Dominicana (with Pan again), did a cross-country road trip, Mexico to see Chichen Itza, and we were I-10 buddies during the pandemic going from California out to our families in Austin and Houston-ish. With a motto of "Do it for the story" we've been able to make the most out of the most mundane situations. While we were technically roommates for a short bit Senior year I think the cumulative amount of couch crashing on trips, picking me up after I let my lease expire, the month in Hawaii ,and our return to Pasadena we've ended up living together quite a bit. Worlow lives in Boston now giving us great excuses to go east.

Ping I met in undergrad in Page House at Caltech. We forged a bond over sports and general socializing which led to us working at Baller together for 8 years where we became closer and closer. A member of the Founding Team of Baller (along with Euno) we've been through several rounds of funding, deferred payments, and basically any problem a start-up can have. I've known him for 13 years and right now is probably the furthest apart we've lived and it's 4 blocks. Despite some minor quibbles over who's responsible over his torn ACL's we've pretty much always been on the same page. Always down to hang out and go on trips on the fly (we decided and booked our way to a Packers playoff game on two days notice) he's probably the main reason I've never really considered leaving Pasadena (well and being able to walk to work). Recently we've been getting into golf more which (ignoring the most recent match) has been very fun on my end.

Pan was my 4 year college roommate and teammate on the Caltech Basketball team. Early on at Caltech we just hit it off and it didn't take long into orientation week for us to decide we'd room together. Despite some issues with my shoes, and his preference of yelling choruses of Justin Bieber songs at random times, we were unable to be divided as a pair and especially during basketball season were basically inseparable. Pan is the reason I switched majors into CS and was a huge help in getting me through Caltech in general. Since moving back to DC we don't quite see each other quite as much in person but online board games have been huge, especially during the pandemic, to connect. I also really enjoy those sessions because whether it's Puerto Rico or Wingspan I normally come out on top so he's forced to farm ELO in games without me. Recently we've gone on the Bourbon Trail twice (with Arjun) even bringing our +1's this most recent time.

Euno and I met back when he first started at Baller. Shortly after starting Baller did a company golf charity event for the Caltech Basketball Program. The relationship between the two new coworkers was going to be tested early. Put in a best ball 4-some with each other and Ping (on one leg and useless) and Bo (useless) we knew it was on each other to salvage a decent round. It however was not Euno's day and some controversy later emerged over some spilled Whiskey. The day ended with Euno outbidding me on a signed James Harden jersey. From there we've come a long way as we bonded quickly over food where Euno, being a SoCal native, would show me around to all sorts of different places and cuisines (also having a car to travel certainly didn't hurt). We'd have lunch basically everyday and the talks would devolve into why the Lakers/Harden aren't good or most frequently baseball. The baseball feud (Dodgers vs D'Backs) is so intense that even when I gifted him Dodger bobbleheads he had them destroyed out of principle (or a young child did it one or the other).

I first met Krieg back at Teeland Middle School where as the two "Dominant Posts" were able win a state title. Living only 2 miles away from each other we would play basketball and football together in the summers when I wasn't fishing and had some great battles. My personal favorite being a Madden game where I recovered 5 straight onside kicks en route to a comeback victory. This prompted a sourpuss to bake a large Papa Murphy's pizza, take it out, fold it in half and eat it all in front of me. It wasn't always about competing against each other though as we would later end up competing in the talent show in High School together. There we serenaded the crowd with a duet of "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. But there was some corrupt judging going on and even with my own sister on the panel we somehow took last (was she in on it too?). Krieg now lives in Nikiski and has been a great host for Nandini and me when we visit Alaska and we love their dogs Blitz and Marley.
