We are planning for an outdoor ceremony on the beautiful grounds of Elmrock. This means guests will be seated outdoors on benches and will have to traverse a large grassy area. We recommend comfortable footwear that you don't mind being exposed to the elements. If you want to wear heels, consider flats, or platform/block heels. Dinner is inside, but we hope to enjoy the upstate fresh air as much as weather permits. This means cocktail hour outside, and dancing and cake on the bluestone patio. We will make sure bug spray and sunscreen are available for everyone throughout the wedding. And yes...there is a plan to move everything indoors should it rain heavily.
We want our guests to join us in dressing up for this special occasion. We ask that you wear semi-formal attire, such as a cocktail-length dress, dressy separates, or a suit and tie. Please no jeans or sneakers. FYI, we will be wearing traditional wedding gear - aka a long white dress and a suit :)
We love food, and are excited to have an award-winning chef curating the evening for us! There will be many food options, and the evening will include many different opportunities to savor and enjoy. There will be passed hors d'oeuvres during Cocktail Hour, including meaty and vegetarian options. For dinner, we will have both a carnivorous and vegetarian choice. Our RSVP link provided space for you to include any allergies or dietary restrictions. And, of course, there will be dessert and cake :)
Ours will be an unplugged ceremony, which means guests are asked not to use their phones or take photos. This will allow everyone - including us - to be present in the moment sans screens or distractions. Once we move into Cocktail Hour, dinner, and other festivities, feel free to take all the photos you want! We will set up a QR code and would love you to share your photos with us. We are working with a fabulous photographer to help us capture this special day , and will share the link to the photo gallery once we have it.
Your presence is the best gift we could ask for! We do not intend on having any gift registries. We will have a spot set up for those who insist on giving us a heartfelt card :)
We are very excited to have you join us on our special day. If you received the email, consider yourself and your spouse invited. Unfortunately, this is a microwedding and we need to keep our numbers intentionally small. This means we cannot accommodate any additional +1's or children.
In the coming weeks and months we will add links to RSVP for the various events. We will make periodic updates to the site and will email you all each time we make significant updates. You can also check back at your own pace.
