One of the best things about Bay Head is, of course, the beach! You do need a badge for access, but you can easily pop into the BHIA office on the corner of Lake Ave and Mount Street to pick up a day pass. There's an access point on Lake and East Ave, just two short blocks away from the badge office.
Coffee at Noon is a must for getting your morning (or afternoon, we don't judge!) caffeine fix. Located inside a beachy boutique, we dare you to walk out the door without both a coffee/tea and a special treasure. Hot tip: they also carry freshly baked Balthazar pastries!
Located directly next to our favorite coffee shop, Noon, you'll find the magical wonderland that is the Source and Tradition Gallery & Studio. Stop in to marvel at the glorious handmade ceramics and paintings by husband and wife duo, Shayne and Alexandra. If you're lucky, you'll see Al in her colorful clogs and hand printed aprons making bowls and plates and platters (oh my!) of all sizes and colors.
If you've ever been to a party at Nancy's family's house, you'll likely have overindulged in a wide variety of incredible, homemade cheese based dips from the Bay Head Cheese Shop. A tiny little shop for all things cheese, crackers, wine, and accoutrement, The Bay Head Cheese Shop is a true delight!
Since 1890 Mueller's has evolved as far as modern baking is concerned, while holding tight to the old-fashioned appeal of yesteryear. The signature product of Mueller's has to be the crumb cake. The original formula is still used and hoards of people come from near and far to get Mueller's crumb. It is shipped all over the world for those who have to have it!
