It was a cold November night in 2012 and we found ourselves at a party in the heart of LA. I locked eyes on Niko from across the room and knew right away I had to talk to him. Soon after meeting, we made our way to the dance floor and shared a brief but fun dance. We chatted on & off throughout the night, and continued the conversation. It wasn't long after that we found ourselves to be inseparable.

Unbeknownst to me, Niko was holding onto the engagement ring for months after our return from Costa Rica -waiting for the right time to pop the question. After his attempts were foiled on numerous occasions, Niko decided to somewhat spontaneously propose after a dinner & walk on the Goleta pier. It was an incredibly windy day, and I was shivering so badly I said I was ready to head back home. It was then & there that Niko got down on one knee and popped the question. I was so shocked & surprised that I couldn't even speak for a few minutes, and had my face buried in my hands. All I could get out was "You're so crazy!" It finally started to settle in and then we were laughing about how I didn't see it coming at all. Niko managed to pull of the proposal he had always wanted, which was to catch me completely by surprise!
