Nancy had just gotten home for winter break during senior year of college. Her friend, Becca, asked if she wanted to go with Becca and Karoline to a Christmas/Hanukkah party. They'd run into a high school friend, Marcus, and his LSU fraternity brothers the night before. Little did Nancy know, Becca and Levi's best friend, Max, were interested in each other. Knowing almost no one at this party, Nancy decided to strike up a conversation with some of the guys about sports. Levi says that is when his ears perked up. In classic Nancy fashion, she started arguing about how Gary Patterson was ten times better than Les Miles as a coach. Levi knew he had to talk this girl. Of course, Levi waited until Nancy was walking out the door to ask for her number. Levi proceeded to spend the rest of winter break asking Nancy out. Nancy turned him down multiple times because she was busy with family plans. Finally, Nancy asked if Levi and some of his friends wanted to go bowling one night. Levi bribed two friends to drive with him from LSU to New Orleans so they could go bowling with Nancy and her friend, Scout. Everyone had fun, but Nancy still wasn't convinced. A few days later, Nancy returned to TCU for her last semester. She started talking to her roommates, Elle and Jess, about how she wasn't sure what to do about this guy. Elle told Nancy that she needed to have Levi come to Fort Worth for the weekend (as he had told her he'd love to drive from Baton Rouge to visit). Nancy decided to take Elle's advice. Levi jumped at the chance to drive 7 hours to visit for a few days. Nancy showed Levi around, and they had their first official date at one of her favorite places, Chuy's. After such a fun weekend, Levi sent Nancy flowers. That pretty much sealed the deal!

Levi knew he wanted to propose somewhere away from home. He spent countless hours in secret meetings with Marion to plan the perfect proposal. He was doing a great job of keeping the secret from Nancy (which is not easy to do). 5 days before the proposal, Nancy got a text from her friend, Elle, accidentally saying that their friend, Jasmin was going to be in Salt Lake City… Nancy wondered why would Jasmin go to Utah? Because Levi was planning to propose in Deer Valley, UT on their family ski trip. Nancy confronted Levi and he couldn’t keep the secret anymore so he decided to tell her everything. On Monday afternoon, everyone went up to the Stein Eriksen Lodge. Levi had gotten a photographer to capture photos of the big moment. Since it wasn’t a secret anymore, the photographer had them walk around outside while he snapped a few shots. Nancy was so nervous, not knowing exactly when Levi was going to get down on one knee. After taking photos on the chair lift, Levi walked Nancy around to the deck overlooking the mountains. He got down on one knee and asked Nancy to spend the rest of her life with him. Nancy said “Yes!” and basically blacked out. Apparently, she grabbed the ring from the box before Levi had even finished his sentence. Nancy looked over and saw her whole family, Jasmin and Levi’s friend, Max looking out through the windows of the lodge. Andy and Marion got champagne and everyone came out onto the deck for a toast! It was such a special afternoon, in the same place where Levi first went on a Weinstock family vacation!!
