We tied the knot! Let's celebrate!

Durring our Junior years of high school, we both took part of our schools' Model UN program and at the model UN gathering were both in Human Rights council. While we hit off right away, our busy lives caused us to lose touch. 6 months later.. we both met up at a college open house when David was walking out as Nancy was running in. we exchanged numbers, but once again fell out of touch. Well would you believe a year later we both met at college on the first day? For three years we were the best of friends, but Nancy moved away and once again we lost touch. One day a couple years laty, David and some friends went on a road trip to Albany and stopped inside a Target to do some shopping. It just happened to be the Target where Nancy worked and she just happened to have been called in on her day off. This time we stayed in contact and have been stuck to each other like glue since!

Nancy is a homebody, happy to loose her self in a book, her writing, or a good sci fi movie. Together, we are adventure chasers. Whether it is going to amusement parks, large malls, or that one time we drive to Long Island and back in one day so Nancy could see her favorite band in concert (again), we love to explore the world together. David breaks Nancy out of her shell, and Nancy reigns David in and sometimes widens his horizons. We recently started a new and challenging adventure, Parenthood. We welcomed our son Oliver John Patterson on October 24th, 2019. He is the personification of our love and Mutual Weirdness and is the center of universe.

After getting engaged in August 2018, we had planned to have a longer engagement so that we could take our time in planning our perfect wedding. At first everything was slowly falling in place so that by January 2020 it looked like we were all set for an October wedding. Well, as you know, the year of 2020 hasn't exactly gone as planned. By late June, it was starting to look like our wedding wasn't going to be able to happen when we were planning. After sitting and talking about it, we both realized we didn't need a big fancy wedding. We couldn't wait to finally be husband and wife after 11 years of Friendship. With the help of our family and close friends, we got to work planing our wedding in 3 weeks. We got married in a small private ceremony at our church in Glenville, NY in the outdoor chapel that Nancy had originally wanted to be married in on August 1. While our little wedding wasn't the big crazy party we were planning, we both agree that it was everything we ever wanted. The only thing missing was you, our friends and family who were unable to attend. So on our 1 year anniversary, we plan on having a vow renewal and the Reception that we were planning.
