In Nancy's search for 25 cent Sonic corndogs, she asked a stranger (me) from the office next door where the closest Sonic could be. At the time, I was still still pretty new to Phoenix and had no idea where the Sonic was. But I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to talk to the pretty girl from the office next door. Several weeks later, I heard her heels clicking on the elevator lobby tile. I had my chance! I caught her in front of the same elevators where we first met. After some small talk, I suggested we go for coffee some time. She said yes (of course!), and THAT is how I got her number. Being the couple that always does things the non-traditional way (hello, 7 years!), we fell in love with our venue and wedding date before I officially said yes. I was dying to tell everyone and finally get to try on some dresses. Blake being Blake made me believe he was waiting until my birthday (July) to make it official. Instead, he packed his bags for our May Texas trip with one real ring and hundreds of little fake ones, along with way too many decorations from Party City. He set it all up with my ring in the middle, got down on one knee, and here we are!
