How We Met

Arnold and I met back in high school during our junior year, we were in the same Spanish class. Why was I taking a Spanish class...easy A. What caught my attention about Arnold was that he wasn't ever prepared for class, he ALWAYS asked to borrow a pen or pencil and I would lend him one. Now that I think back, I can't remember if he would ever return them after class. He was very shy and I don't even know what made him think I would lend him something to write with but I did. As time went on, I connected with other friends to find out more about him, all I knew was that he played baseball and that I would always score better than him on our tests..hahaha! I finally was able to get a hold of him through text message and the rest is history! Here we are about to embark on our forever journey and we can't wait to celebrate with you all on August 21st. We chose this date (08/21/21) because backwards it's 12/12/08 which is the date that we started dating almost 13 years ago!

The Proposal

Our vacations seemed pretty routine and so, I didn't think different of this one to Los Cabos in 2019. We had arrived in La Paz and had explored much of the area by taking morning walks and short hikes along the el Mar de Cortes. My cousin Lupe had finally decided to explore the side of Mexico that we had been talking about! On July 6th we had gone to breakfast..Lupe and I kept giving Arnold a hard time on when he was going to propose. At some point we noticed he was getting fed up with the both of us so we changed the topic, little did we know he already had something planned. We took a short but wavy ride to Balandra and once we had parked, I remember dreading the climb because I was already so hot and tired but with Arnold pushing us, we made it! From that moment everything happened so fast, I told Arnold that we should take a picture and I was confused when he kept telling Lupe to record since we never record. It was at that moment, that he began to get down on his knee and pull a little blue box out. Lupe and I were SHOCKED to say the least. We did get the proposal on video and I did say YES!

For all the days along the way
