Andrew and Nancy met while volunteer teaching abroad in the Marshall Islands through a Dartmouth program. Nancy taught 3rd grade and Andrew taught high school. They look back fondly on the weekends spent on remote islands cracking open fresh coconuts and getting to know each other while exploring the island. They returned back to Dartmouth College to finish their junior year and graduated together in 2014. After graduating, Andrew and Nancy moved to New York City where they served as Teach For America corps members, teaching elementary school in Harlem and the South Bronx. Today, Andrew is finishing up law school at Columbia and Nancy works for Google.

Andrew, with the help of family and friends, planned a summer weekend at Dartmouth. After hiking Moosilauke Mountain and walking around our favorite spots on campus, Andrew took Nancy to Sanborn Library to find the place where they had both carved their names into the wall on graduation day in June 2014. Nancy pulled away a few books from the shelves to find their names—which she did—but she also discovered a ring box. She pulled it out and turned around to find Andrew on his knee as he said "Marry me?" She said "Of course" and they walked out onto Baker Berry lawn to find both of their families waiting. We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with all of you! See everyone in Princeton!
