On a cold spring morn, the great Trevor awoke with a sense of destiny. He knew that day, his fate would be sealed. He gathered his weaponry and made the trek to the annual South by Southwest festival. At which, he met a mage who gave him the instructions to attend a secret gathering. Upon arrival, he saw a maiden. Brown was her hair and awkward was her stance. He rode towards her, but then an evil dragon came and swept her away. He followed the dragon to its cave, where a great battle ensued. For centuries it went on while the maiden waited for her knight. Eventually, the dragon was bested and they rode off into the sunset.
In 2016, it was time for a new adventure. After three years together - most of that commuting between Austin & Dallas - we made the choice to quit our jobs, pack up the pets, and move from Texas to Colorado. The mountains welcomed us with hikes, snow, and new opportunities to grow as people and as a couple.
Trevor booked a table with a view at Flagstaff House - an upscale restaurant situated overlooking the mountains in Boulder. About a quarter mile from Flagstaff House is an overlook. Trevor asked me to follow him on the short trail - it was very cold and I didn't grab my coat, so we didn't walk long. Eventually, he got down on one knee, and... at this point everything became a blur for both of us. All we know is that by the time he stood back up, we were engaged. Now we cannot wait to toast with all of you!
