They rub the pithi paste onto the bride and groom’s arms, neck, face, hands and legs. Believed to be an excellent cleanser of one's soul and for providing skin glow, soft skin and shine, a pithi paste is made out of chickpea flour, turmeric, sandalwood powder, herbs, aromatic oils, rose water, among other ingredients. This will be followed by a luncheon. .

A pre-wedding event, the Sangeet is where the party begins! The word Sangeet translates to ‘sung together’ from Sanskrit. Traditionally celebrated in India, the Sangeet is conducted to relish in the happiness and joy surrounding the couple. The event includes dances performed by family and friends. Also during this event, guests will be invited to participate in Raas and Garba, traditional forms of dance which originated in the home state of Nami's family, Gujarat. .
