The year of love and looooong commutes, with plenty of fun along the way <3
We mastered time zones, survived bad connections, and proved that love is patient — but also that “Can you hear me now?” can test even the strongest bond.
But somewhere between the late-night talks and the countdowns to seeing each other, it stopped being just “long distance" and it became “long-term.”
And now, against all odds we are heading toward forever.
This is our story!
The day we first met and something magical began <3
...which led to our first Christmas in London...
...followed by many celebrations of a love we didn’t see coming.....
... a love that came with a lot of miles in the air and on the ground! We took the proverbial chasing eachother very literal...
... we discovered that we liked sharing everything...
...moments of true endurance and support (my man is an athlete, he finished The Power of 4 - twice!) ...
... fun times in Aspen...
...fun times with Moustache ...
...and London <3...
...and the many pubs of London ...
...after so many pubs, we went back to running! Our first half marathon, 2h15 baby ! ...
...we also got a tan in California ...
... where we decided to take some photos for the 'gram...
...after which we went back to runninggggg...
...in the process converted Nami into a Persian hipster, this is the London way ...
...with a touch of fancy ...
...a lot of fancy ...
... and then back to basics. When we didnt run, we hiked (the smile was fake, Alina almost died on this hike)...
...another day, another hike ...in the great hills of Denver...
...annnnnd another hike... this time a very long one, Maroon Bells is not for the faint of heart...
...we found out the hard way that in the mountains when it rains, it poors, but we danced the cold away ...
...dancing in the rain part 2, this time at the Aspen festival, where a lot of fun was had ...
...after so much hiking we chilled at Cinci open...
...but couldnt get away without the odd bike ride - Alina was on an electric bike, Nami was suffering ...
…and the suffering continued when we discovered we were number 8,000 in the queue for Wimbledon… so close, yet so far !...
...To ease the heartbreak, we flew to Romania...
...we explored Romania’s finest:
the Sphinx! The Bucegi Mountains are amazing — highly recommend if you want epic views and a touch of mystery...
....the greatest castle in the world ! Corvin castle (close to Alina's hometown)!....
.....and we couldnt miss the famous Dracula's Castle waaaaaa......
...after so many castles we decided to end our year in sunny Malta ...
... where we got engaged <3 ... To be continued... See you at the wedding!
