Things To Do

Never been to Seattle and not sure what you might want to do in the area aside from wedding activities? No problem! We've written up some recommendations based on our experience to get you started on planning your trip. Please: -Let us know if we can help! We'd love to share what we've learned. -Click "View" below each section for more details and specific recommendations.

Snoqualmie

Welcome to Snoqualmie! We chose this location because, although we enjoy the city of Seattle, the surrounding nature is why we planted roots. Snoqualmie sits in a mountain pass just outside the city and offers the perfect glimpse into the natural beauty we fell in love with. Most of our guests are traveling from other parts of the country, and we didn’t want everyone to travel to “just another city”; we want you to check out some hikes, vistas, and breweries so you can experience the best of the PNW firsthand! Please know that while Snoqualmie is great, you can’t beat the national parks in the area. You may only visit the PNW once, so make the most of it: Visit one of the three top-rated national parks before or after the wedding! And while you’re here, you should also check out some of the best Seattle has to offer. Notes on both of those below as well. **See link for our personal recommendations**

Seattle

You’re all landing here and I encourage you to spend a few days checking out the city. If you’re looking for something specific, please let us know! Below are some of the more popular things to do as well as some of our personal favorites. **See link for our personal recommendations**

National Parks

If you can make the time, we strongly recommend visiting one of the three Washington national parks! They are all 2-3 hours from Seattle and are all some of the highest rated in the country. If you decide to check one out, let us know so we can provide a more extensive list of places to stay/eat/hike. All of the parks are loaded with great hikes, vistas, short nature walks, and more, making them accessible for all interests and abilities. Below are some of our favorite things to do! **See link for our personal recommendations**

Other partial, full, or multi-day trips

The suggestions below are ordered by distance from SEA and include driving distance from the airport. Ask if you’re interested in more details. -Woodinville: Winery central! ~30 min drive from both SeaTac airport and wedding hotel. -Tiger Mountain State Forest, home to Poo Poo Point trail. ~50 min. -Bainbridge and Whidbey Islands. ~20 min drive + 35-min drive-on scenic ferry. -Leavenworth, WA: Beautiful mountain activities and lively Bevarian themed town. ~2.5 hr. -Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. ~3 hr. -Oregon coast (Astoria and Canon Beach) and Oregon wine country (Willamette Valley). ~3.5 hr. **Contact us for more details/ideas**
