We're getting married!

Ryan and Nala are firm believers in the idea that everything happens for a reason and their story has only proven to them that they're meant to be. Despite having known each other for many years through their temple's community, they did not have a relationship. He was a good friend of Nala’s sister but he always felt Nala was a part of the “younger” group so she wasn’t all that relevant. That was all true until January 2020 when they saw each other again after some time. Ryan's older brother was getting married and Nala was the bridal henna artist for the new bride. Upon arriving at the "wrong house" for the bridal appointment, she saw Ryan come down the stairs and she was taken aback. She didn't remember him looking so good before! It was a casual hi and bye as she made her way to the correct house for her appointment. He didn’t even think twice about that moment. All throughout the bridal henna session she kept thinking about Ryan and wondered why she was never friends with him before. When the doorbell rang to Ryan’s brother's home, Nala was the first to answer since all of the girls had henna on their hands. Behind that door was Ryan with the bride’s gown. She remembers answering that door on purpose because, why not get another look at him! The next day, Nala and her family attended the wedding at the temple and she saw Ryan yet again. He gave her butterflies without even realizing it but she knew he was not focused on her at all because he was so focused on ensuring the wedding ran smoothly. He is a guy and honestly they dont always pick up on these things! He didn’t see the way she would look for him in the room just to get a glimpse. Towards the end of the ceremony, as Nala bid farewell to the newly wedded couple, she also went to say bye to Ryan. She jokingly told Ryan "You're next." The following morning, Nala sent Ryan a direct message on instagram. She is quite the go-getter! Her silly message confused him a little but it led to what would be the most valuable exchange either of them would experience. After a couple dates, they knew they were meant to be something special. Although Covid made things a little hard at the time, they still found a way. Friendship came effortlessly and love developed naturally. They have truly found something worth waiting for. Even when they thought they wouldn't find their person, life showed them otherwise. Everything happens for a reason and he is in fact “Next”!
