FAQs

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to either Na'ima or Brandon. We're happy to answer any questions that you may have!
Question

Is this a destination wedding?

Answer

Yes—it’s a full weekend getaway! The venue consists of 70 acres of trails, games, fire pits, and even llamas and alpacas. You’ll be able to relax, explore, and celebrate with us all weekend long. All cottages have hotel-grade interior.

Question

Where will we stay on-site?

Answer

We’ve spent a lot of time thoughtfully grouping family and friends together in the estate’s cottages—so rest assured, you’ll be staying with people you know and love! Room assignments will be provided by the Hawkesdene staff when you arrive. If you’re planning to arrive after hours or won't be able to make it Friday, please let us know in advance and we’ll make sure you have your room assignment ahead of time.

Question

What will the meals include?

Answer

You’ll enjoy farm-to-table meals throughout the weekend, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic drinks will also be available throughout the day and served with evening meals. Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP so accommodations can be planned accordingly!

Question

Should we bring alcohol?

Answer

Beer, wine and liquor will be served during all wedding events and meals. For daytime hangouts or late-night fun, feel free to bring your favorite drinks! Each cottage has its own refrigerator for storing personal beverages. If you need to make a grocery run, there’s an Ingles and Walgreens just 10 minutes from the venue.

Question

Are pets welcome?

Answer

Yes! Small to medium size dogs are allowed in the cottages and on the outdoor grounds. Unfortunately, they are not allowed in the Main House or at the wedding ceremony. Please be respectful of the venue and be sure clean up after your pets.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes, they are and even better, if they're under 12 for once they won't cost you a penny!

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Items to Bring: - Blanket (For late night lounging and lawn games) - Bluetooth speaker (to blast tunes at your cottage) - Board Games - Flashlight (It gets dark early when you’re off the grid) - Jacket/Sweater (December in NC feels like Fall, colder at night) - Lounge clothes (To sit by the fire) - Hiking gear (For those who wish to explore the trails) - Sneakers & Comfortable shoes - Umbrella/Rain Jacket (Just in case) - Lawn chairs/portable chairs (For yard games/Bonfire) Items to Leave at Home: Bath towels and sheets (Hawkesdene supplies hotel grade amenities for each room)
