Picture it: Sicily. 1916... No Wait! Picture it: West Des Moines, 2016. It was the final dress rehearsal for Calendar Girls at Tallgrass Theatre. Accross the theatre lobby Naima sees a tall, dark, and beautiful woman throw her head back in laughter. It was Betsy! She couldn't take her eyes off as she walked by. Two days later was the cast party and the plan was set: "I've got to talk to that woman!" decides Naima. She worked up the courage, started a conversation, and for the next hour, neither could bear to walk away from the other. They both thought the other was pretty cool. What they didn't know yet, was that they were made for each other.

On our three year anniversary we took the day off and put on our snow suits to go for a winter hike at Briggs Woods Park up by Webster City, IA to check out its waterfalls (which are lovely, by the way). While we were there we decided to do some geocaching. As we were searching for the cache (in the snow!), Betsy called me over and pointed out a handmade box in a bush. She found it! She grabbed the box, got down on one knee, opened it up and inside was a ring! She proposed and, of course, I said yes! We never did find that geocache though...
