Maid of Honor
Talon and Nailah met in first grade, meaning they have been friends for almost 20 years! They used to pass letters back and forth if they didn't have class together, and attended the same university for undergrad (UMBC). Talon was chosen as the maid of honor because Nailah has known her forever and trusts her to be a strong right hand woman when it comes to making the wedding experience one to remember!
Cory
Best Man
Even though Cory and Devon are first cousins, he has always been like an older brother to him. For many years Devon looked up to Cory, and throughout those years he's taught Devon many things. Cory was Devon's first friend and taught him how to stand up for myself. Even now, Devon still asks him for advice and can always rely on his words to be nonjudgemental for whatever problem he has. So as Devon goes into this new stage of life, it’s only fitting Cory be his best man.
Noelle
Junior Bridesmaid
Noelle is Nailah's younger sister. They are about 15 years apart in age, but have been inseparable since the beginning! She is a junior bridesmaid because Nailah can't get married without someone she loves so dearly.
Michael (Mike)
Groomsman
Mike is Devon's oldest friend. Devon met Mike through a mutual hobby and have been best friends ever since. He is someone who is excellent at reading people, especially Devon. It is because of this he knew Devon was in love with Nailah before he did. Mike was chosen as a groomsman because he is the most loyal and courageous man Devon knows.
Naomi
Bridesmaid
Nailah and Naomi have been friends since college. They led the same cheer team as captains for Nailah's senior year and have been friends ever since! Naomi was chosen because she has a bright energy, is very visual (so she will catch the details I miss!), and is all around a great friend.
Robert (Rob)
Groomsman
Devon has known Rob for years. Rob is someone who will always put you in a good mood. Even when he isn’t feeling great himself he always bends over backwards for his friends. Rob is a Groomsman because when Devon is feeling stressed he can always count on Rob to make him laugh and get his mind right.
Catherine (Cat)
Bridesmaid
Cat was Nailah's last roommate (before Devon!). They shared housing for a brief time, but quickly found lasting friendship. Cat was chosen because she always has a positive vibe that radiates when she walks in a room. She has always supported Devon and Nailah's relationship from the very beginning, and always encouraging communication and understanding.
Marco
Groomsman
Marco is Devon’s close friend—a man who has unmatched kindness, and also serves as an echo for your conscience. Marco is a groomsman because he is someone who has talked Devon out of trouble, supported him through heart break, but also was just as happy as Devon was when he found the one he wanted to marry.
Brigitte
Bridesmaid
Nailah and Brigitte met coaching the Kennedy Cavaliers cheerleading team. They quickly learned that they have much in common and soon a professional relationship blossomed into a real friendship. Brigitte was chosen because she is a big supporter in Nailah's life and in her relationship with Devon, which is extremely important in this time of wedding planning. She is the fiercest dog mom on the planet to a pup named Cowboy, so it was only fitting we add him in the picture!
Dan
Groomsman
Dan is the kind of guy who will come to your aid no matter the time. Devon met Dan shortly after meeting Marco, Mike and Rob. The energy Dan brings to the table is like meeting an old friend you haven't seen in years. Dan is a groomsman because he brings a sense of calmness and security.
