We met the modern way, on a dating app, with a message and a mutual swipe that started it all. Our first date at Dave & Buster’s was full of laughter, easy conversation, and an instant connection. From that night on, we’ve been inseparable.

From the beginning, we chose each other fully, building a relationship rooted in love, support, and commitment. Through new jobs, moves, and major life transitions, we’ve remained grounded in one another. Our time together has been filled with late-night conversations, game nights, favorite shows, and countless dinners and museums. We’ve traveled to places like Philly, Hershey, New York, New Jersey, and Jamaica, creating memories along the way. We’ve supported each other’s dreams, from standing side by side during his first flight to his steady support throughout her journey toward earning her doctorate.

As we look ahead, we’re excited for the life we’re continuing to build together. He is currently preparing for his first solo flight, while she is working toward her dissertation. We are both committed to growing in our careers and in our partnership. One day, we’ll proudly step into our titles as Captain and Dr. Byrd. Until then, we’re focused on building a life full of love, purpose, and shared dreams.
