Their meeting was "forced" when Nahjah and Noheli wanted to hang out and brought the boys along. After that first meeting, they became fools experiencing life one moment at a time. Gary and Nahjah knew they wanted someone close to the two of them. This meant looking and deciding on a person who represents both parties, but also knew them as individuals. Tavi is the calm nature and quick- wit of Gary, and the compassionate and goofiness of Nahjah. Gary and Nahjah couldn't imagine a more perfect person to marry them!
Samantha "Sam" Martin

Sam is Nahjah's childhood best friend who has been inseparable since the 8th grade! Sam had tried out for the middle school colorguard group and when a mutual friend mentioned Sam had made the team, you know what Nahjah's reaction was "No, she didn't!" with a frown face (great start to a friendship right?!) Since then Nahjah and Sam became each other's person through choir trips, many Facetime calls, and becoming an addition to the family, these two have been through it all! Even living apart hasn't stopped these two. Nahjah is lucky to have Sam as her maid of honor on this special day!
Annie Pettibone

Have you met a magical being, well you will when you meet Annie! Nahjah and Annie met in college when Annie joined a housing organization as a representative Nahjah overseen. A bond was formed fast over their love of Disney and any time together is full of laughter and hugs. The best way to describe this relationship is sunshine and rainbows. If you need a cry and hug session or have a listening ear, Annie is the person. If there is ever one person Nahjah can see and bring such joy, Annie is the person. Nahjah is beyond grateful to have a loving individual like Annie by her side. If you care to ask, she is okay!
Jordan Lloson

Jordan and Nahjah met during a conference Nahjah's first year of school. During that weekend they were arguing like siblings across the hall of the dorm they stayed at, but began their journey like they always knew each other. There is a running joke that wherever Jordan goes, Nahjah is surely to follow. Since that first weekend, they have worked in 3 of the same jobs, lived in 2 of the same buildings, and continue to see each other every week. Jordan is the older sibling that Nahjah always imagined by her side. They uplift and encourage Nahjah through many steps of life, and she couldn't imagine life without them.
Janel Lloson

Janel became a cherished friend during their time at Cal State East Bay, introduced by her now-partner, Jordan. Known for her warm and comforting presence, Janel is the kind of friend who listens deeply and offers wisdom that keeps Nahjah grounded. Her playful question, “Am I your friend?” reminds Nahjah of the humor and affection she brings to their friendship. Janel is calm in the chaos and knows how to keep things realistic but empathic simultaneously. Of course, she's a friend but she's more than that in many ways!
Terisha Marquez

Terisha and Nahjah's relationship started their first of college, when Nahjah would spend practically everyday in her and Sandra's dorm. The two quickly clicked and became roommates for several years deepening their bond. Known for her vibrant personality, Terisha guarantees a fun time wherever she goes. The two can talk and eat for hours, sharing laughter and deep conversations. Terisha is the twin to Nahjah only being born the day before, this day would not be complete without Terisha by Nahjah's side.
Sandra McCullum

Sandra and Nahjah have known each other since middle school. Although these two known each other for years, they only became close in college. They bonded over being homesick their first year to the point they thought about transferring to get closer to home together. Their friendship blossomed that first year and they became roommates for three years, pushing each other to do any and everything. Sandra's influence inspires those around her and her quick wit adds a spark of humor to every conversation. She's a dynamic person and a part of Nahjah's heart that is irreplaceable.
Noheli Fuerte

Noheli and Nahjah met in Lousiana of all places. These two created a bond, right before getting sworn in together as regional board members, over Noheli helping Nahjah strap her shoe. Since then the two immediately connected. Only being able to see each other maybe twice a year from living apart in different states, seeing each other every other month, to now being able to see each other anytime they want. These two have grown to be apart of each other's family. Who knew a shoe and a frog is where it would all start?

Karla and Nahjah met through their sorority, where their unlikely paths beautifully intertwined. Karla has a unique way of balancing Nahjah, providing comfort and encouragement just when it’s needed. Always adventurous, Karla is up for trying or doing something new. Although their paths weren't supposed to cross originally, Nahjah is forever grateful they did and is eager to have such an impactful person on her special day.

Meet Erin, Gary's amazing groomswoman and best friend! Erin is a petite powerhouse with a big heart, a love for all things Disney, and an unwavering devotion to Taylor Swift (you’ll likely catch her belting out a T-Swift anthem at any given moment). Gary and Erin first met while working at the Disney Store, where their shared passion for all things Disney sparked an instant connection. Since then, their friendship has only grown stronger, and they’ve both gone on to land their dream jobs working for Disney—albeit on different coasts! Whether it’s reminiscing about their Disney Store days or planning their next Disney adventure, Gary and Erin’s bond is one built on laughter, shared memories, and mutual respect. We're thrilled to have Erin by Gary's side on this special day as he celebrates this next chapter with the love of his life.

Meet Jarrod, one of Gary's incredible groomsmen! Jarrod is an extremely tall, fun-loving, and goofy guy who can always be counted on to bring the laughs—especially with his spot-on Stitch impression, which is sure to leave everyone in stitches. Gary and Jarrod’s friendship began at the Disney Store, where they quickly became the dynamic duo of the front stage, setting the magical tone for guests as they walked through the doors. They were the social stars of the store, creating an unforgettable atmosphere and making sure everyone felt the Disney magic. Outside of work, Gary and Jarrod spent countless hours hanging out, whether it was at Dave & Busters or catching the latest movies. Their friendship has been built on shared memories, humor, and good times, and Jarrod’s presence at Gary’s side on this special day means the world. We're lucky to have him here, keeping the fun and laughter going throughout the celebration!

Kimmy and Gary first met at the Disney Store, where they quickly bonded over their love for musicals (especially Wicked!) and all things Disney. Whether they were chatting about dream destinations or belting out show tunes, every conversation with Kimmy was always filled with energy and excitement. One of Gary's favorite memories with her is the mad scramble every year to help her get her classroom ready for the new school year. Kimmy's dedication as a teacher is unmatched, and it's clear how much she cares about shaping young minds. She’s the kind of friend who brings joy, inspiration, and a whole lot of heart to everything she does!

Brendan and Gary first crossed paths at the Disney Store, where they immediately bonded over their shared love of all things Disney and gaming. Whether it was geeking out over the latest Disney movie or debating the best video games of all time, they always found themselves in long, animated conversations. What they’ve come to admire most about Brendan is his unwavering "glass half full" outlook on life. No matter the situation, he always finds a way to stay positive and uplift those around him. Brendan has been a constant source of wisdom, laughter, and great conversation, and Gary is so grateful to have him by his side as they celebrate this special day.

Meet Mila, my amazing groomswoman and the ultimate planner of our group! Mila and Gary first met at the Disney Store, where they quickly realized they shared a passion for creating memorable experiences. She’s the one who always makes sure we’re all together, organizing hangouts and making sure no one is left out. Even during the pandemic, Mila went above and beyond by setting up fun Zoom calls to keep our group connected and still have a good time. Beyond being the social architect, Mila has a knack for capturing the perfect moments—whether it’s a candid photo or a goofy selfie, she’s always there to document our adventures. Her thoughtfulness, organization, and ability to bring everyone together make her such a special person, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this unforgettable day!
