Is there parking at the Halverson House?

Answer

Yes, they have a lit parking lot with easy access to the main barn.

Does the hotel have transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes, the hotel does have a small shuttle bus (seating 12 guests) that will go back and forth from the hotel and venue a hour prior to the ceremony and the last hour of the wedding. Uber is also a great form of transportation for those that don't have accuses to the shuttle bus.

Is there a elevator in the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is an elevator for guests that can't use stairs inside the main barn.

Is the Main Barn heated?

Answer

Yes, there is heat throughout the whole barn. If you are still cold with the heaters, The Halverson House does provide blankets for guests to keep warm.

Is there bathrooms indoors?

Answer

Yes, there is both a women's and men's bathroom located in the lower level of the barn.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids, but we would love our wedding night to be adults only. Unless your RSVP says otherwise.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer it if it was just you. If the person you wanted to attend as your guest isn't a "date" we ask you to please attend solo.

Do I have to book a hotel?

Answer

No, feel free to stay wherever fits your plans best. The Halverson House is 35 minutes from Lake Geneva, 40 minutes from Kenosha & 1 hour from Arlington Heights.

Is off site liquor welcomed?

Answer

No, all liquor must be serviced form the Halverson House themselves. We will have an open bar.

Is there a Vegan option for dinner?

Answer

Yes, all the food served will be from the Halverson House farm itself. We will be serving our guests buffet style and provide multiple options for all our guests.

Do we have a dress code?

Answer

We ask everyone to dress in cocktail attire and feel free to bring layers to bundle up. Even though we are in a heated barn it still is a winter wedding.
