If you went back to 2017 and told our newly-dating 16-year-old selves that they'd be getting married 9 years later, it's hard to say exactly how they'd react. But they wouldn't be surprised. Because, for as long as we've known each other, there's always been a pull that’s kept our lives together. While we dreamed about a "happily ever after" many times, we never expected how it actually played out: six school dances, two high school graduations, one year of long distance, a break up, two years as "just friends," a pandemic, a reconnection, two college graduations, three more years of long distance, two cross-country moves, and (at last) moving in together. And through it all—more than 3,000 days—there wasn't a single one where we didn't talk. After all that time, it's safe to say that Nick proposing to Grace was a long time coming. Surrounded by friends at a cabin on Lake Michigan, he took her down to the beach and used her great-great-grandmother's ring to ask *the* question. Thankfully, she gave the same answer she did when he asked her to be his girlfriend (again) on August 28th, 2021: Yes. We would never have made it this far without the love and support of our families. Whether you're a blood relative or a close friend, you're a cherished part of our story. That's why we're so happy to invite you to join us 4 years to the day of our getting back together—August 28th, 2026—as we officially bring our two familles together as one. We can't wait to celebrate with you there!
