So how does a Georgia peach and an Egyptian gentleman meet? Great friends, of course! I found myself invited to an old friend's formal in Florida and could absolutely not go without a date. Upon hearing my potential date was an Egyptian pilot, I said, "If he treats me like Cleopatra, then we will not have a problem." The rest was history. We have been inseparable ever since. We grew up on opposite sides of the world, but over a memorable cup of ice cream (or a few) at my favorite bakery in Rome, GA, we discovered that we both share the same ambitions and future goals.
