FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Everything is happening at the Embassy Suites Bloomington Airport Hotel located at 7901 34th Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55425. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be in the atrium and the reception will be in the ballroom. We tried to make it as easy as possible for our guests so you do not need to stress about the details and can spend your time celebrating!

Question

Why Bloomington, Minnesota when you live in.....where do you live again?

Answer

We currently live in Arlington, Virgina and at the time of the wedding, we don't know where we will be-joys of government service. We picked Bloomington because it is a central location for the majority of our guests. It is near a major airport and our venue has airport transportation which allows traveling guests to forgo renting a car. We both have moved numerous times and have friends and family all over. The location is not what is important to us, it is who is at the location with us that matters.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by our deadline, May 1, 2026.

You can reserve your hotel room here: https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/hillestadnagelkerkwedding/ By Phone: Call 1-800-317-8143, and let them know you need to make a reservation in the Hillestad /Nagelkerk Wedding room block. Please aim for formal, black tie optional. The wedding color is dusty French blue so anything that goes with that would be great. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel good and you can dance in!

What is the food situation?

Answer

We love to eat, we love people who love to eat, so let's make sure we do a lot of that. After the wedding ceremony, there will be light bites available at cocktail hour. A full service dinner will be served at the reception at 6pm. Of course, there will be cake. Stand by for three very special guests serving the cake! There will also be a late night snack around 10pm. Additionally, there is an onsite restaurant called Wooly's North, and the hotel breakfast buffet is complimentary.

Answer

Yes, we are not monsters. Beer, wine, liquor, soda, water, juice. Enjoy!

Answer

If you decide to bring your young folks, please note that we do have a kid friendly chicken tenders meal option. Special dietary needs can be accommodated upon request. There will be activities set up at cocktail hour and the reception to include a personalized coloring and activity book, cards, games, toys and other things to keep them busy.
