It all started with a swing - the infamous swing on top of the bar. It was at Hennessey’s 38th Anniversary party where they met. Fast forward to a year later, she was getting cozy in her new apartment. A short month after she was walking down to the parking garage and finds herself passing by a few guys moving into a vacant spot. Guess who was her new neighbor? She could not go to and from her apartment without passing his; it was fate. Their time together as friends over months developed into something more. They remember the times in the beginning where she would go over his place after work, and they’d stay up all night talking over wine, eating pizza, and playing Mario Cart. They bonded over many things; talking about the restaurant industry was one of them. She will never forget – one Sunday night when he came in with Elliot after work to have a drink at the bar while she was still working; she came down from the deck to say hi and told him (in front of Leila), “You know we’re going to get married right”. He nodded and agreed and said “Yeah, I can see that happening” (and this was way before we were an actual couple!). As the relationship progressed, they became inseparable and made things "facebook official". After a year of dating, they decided to get a place of their own to call home.

As you all know, he’s an eccentric chef. With that comes along fancy 6+ course meals and trying new restaurants around LA. When he told her to get ready for a “celebrity chef” event, it was not a far fetched idea (we have gone to something like that in the past). Uber picks them up and drops them off at the Long Beach Aviation Center. “Um, I thought you said we were going to LA? Why are we at an airport? – she said. It’s been a bucket list of hers to fly in a helicopter; and that’s exactly what he did. After our beautiful ride around the coast, he opened her door, got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. It was the most beautiful and magical moment. To end the night with one last surprise, he had gathered their closest family and friends to help them celebrate! It was a night they will never forget (thank you for making that day so special babe – I love you!)
