Fly to Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier or Marrakesh airports. From Finland to Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier you can fly via one layover. Norwegian flies directly from Finland to Marrakesh. Ryanair flies from Marrakesh to Stockholm. Check all cities for the best price. From Marrakesh to Casablanca, you can take a 3h train. From Rabat, the train to Casablanca takes 1h. From Tangier, the fast train to Casablanca is also around 3h.
You can stay in any hotel, hostel, airbnb... We will be staying here: Campanile Casablanca Centre Ville or Kyriad Residence Casablanca. If you're interested to join as well, please be in touch with Nadir.
If you want, you can wear a traditional Moroccan kaftan (A long, flowing gown with beautiful embroidery and usually worn with a matching belt (mdamma) to accentuate the waist). You can choose to rent a kaftan for the night for approx. 20-50EUR. You can also purchase your own if you want. Any color is ok! NOTE! Moroccans do not view foreigners wearing their clothes as cultural appropriation. You can also choose to wear any evening gown, but please avoid revealing too much cleavage, as Morocco is a conservative country.
If you want, you can wear a traditional 1) djellaba (a long, loose-fitting robe with a hood) or 2) a jabador (a two-piece outfit consisting of a long tunic and loose-fitting trousers). You can choose to rent a djelleba or jabador for the night for approx. 20-50EUR. You can also purchase your own if you want. Any color is ok! NOTE! Moroccans do not view foreigners wearing their clothes as cultural appropriation. You can also choose to wear a suit.
Victoria's entrance - The bride will arrive in an amalliya (a decorated chair) Nadir's entrance - You'll have to come to see how Nadir will arrive Wardrobe changes - Victoria will change her outfit a few times during the reception (let's see how many times) Traditional Moroccan feast - expect amazing food e.g. Lham bel barkouk (meat with plus) & halwa (traditional cookies)... Never forget the mint tea! Music - a band will be playing traditional Moroccan music (Chaabi). Additionally, drummers will join a few times during the night. Dancing - needless to say, dancing is a must :) Finally: be prepared to stay up until the morning!
No alcohol will be served during the wedding!
