Where to Stay 🛏️🍷

Mendoza has something for everyone, and there are plenty of great places to stay! The easiest option is to stay near downtown Mendoza, where you’ll find lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and easy ways to get around. It's lively, walkable, and gives you the full city experience. If you're dreaming of a more peaceful vibe surrounded by nature, you might prefer to stay closer to the wedding venue, where things are quieter and the views are stunning. Prices will vary depending on location and the type of place you choose — from cozy Airbnbs to boutique hotels to wine lodges in the vineyards. There are lots of options out there! Some good places to start: - Booking.com - Airbnb - Good old Google Search

Getting Around Mendoza 🚗🚌

Getting around Mendoza is pretty easy, and there are a few great options depending on how much exploring you plan to do. 🚗 Renting a Car If you’re planning to visit vineyards or head into the mountains, renting a car gives you more flexibility. There are many rental agencies in the city and at the airport. Booking in advance is a good idea. 🚍 Buses & Public Transport From downtown Mendoza, you can take local buses to nearby spots like Cacheuta and Potrerillos. The city also has a light rail (Metrotranvía) and a hop-on, hop-off tourist bus for exploring the center. 🚖 Taxis & Uber Taxis are easy to find, and Uber also works well in Mendoza. For taxis, we recommend contacting them in advance to avoid long waits. Some useful sites: - Car rental via Booking: www.booking.com/cars/city/ar/mendoza.html - Rentcars Mendoza: m.rentcars.com/en/locations/argentina/mendoza-mendoza-province - Uber: www.uber.com No matter how you get around, Mendoza is a joy to explore!

Spanish Tips 🌍

Don’t worry if your Spanish isn’t perfect—people in Mendoza are warm and friendly, and a smile goes a long way! Here are some useful (and fun) Argentine phrases to help you get around and connect with locals: Hello HOLA Good morning BUEN DÍA How are you? (common local way) ¿CÓMO ANDÁS? Thank you ¡GRACIAS! You’re welcome DE NADA Excuse me / Sorry PERDÓN / DISCULPÁ Where is the bathroom? ¿DÓNDE ESTÁ EL BAÑO? Cheers! ¡SALUD! It’s delicious! ¡ESTÁ RIQUÍSIMO! Let’s dance! ¡A BAILAR! Beautiful (female) HERMOSA Handsome (very Argentine slang) FACHERO Friend / Buddy AMIGO / CHE What’s up? (very casual) ¿QUÉ ONDA? If someone says "¿Todo bien?" (All good?), just reply: ¡TODO BIEN! And here are some fun extras you might hear or want to use: “No worries” / “No problem” TRANQUILO “Awesome!” / “Cool!” ¡BUENÍSIMO! “Stop joking!” / “You’re kidding!” ¡NO JODAS! “Really?” / “For real?” ¿EN SERIO? “Let’s go!” / “Come on!” DALE “Friend” or “mate” (very casual) LOCO / LOCA
