It’s Happening!!

Nadia and Tobias met at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in June 2008. Nadia, a new nurse, had just moved from Miami to work at the Medical Center. Tobias, also a nurse, was selected to be Nadia’s preceptor. It was “like” at first sight as they worked together on the Cardiac Unit. Nadia had interesting things to say about her time in Miami and found Tobias an ardent listener with interest in her progress. They developed a genuine friendship and found it easy to talk to each other. The friendship changed as emotional inclinations for each other progressed. They ended up dating while working in the same department. March 26th 2011, on a trip to Miami, Tobias proposed and Nadia said ‘Yes’. It was a beautiful time, a time of great love and aspirations. The next year, they were gifted with a daughter, Jaida on April 27th 2012. That special moment was unfortunately shared with a diagnosis of Heart Failure for Nadia. Nadia’s heart was failing. She was dying if nothing changed. The rest of 2012 was spent in treatment for Heart Failure juxtaposed with the joys of parenthood. This experience brought Nadia and Tobias closer together as they tackled heart failure. They got married on August 17th 2012, after the doctors greatly reduced Nadia’s work schedule. Besides wanting to fight this challenge as a family, Nadia also needed health insurance. She used this time wisely to pursue her Nurse Practitioner degree. Despite all advice to the contrary by the Medical doctors, By God’s grace February 29th 2016, they were gifted with a son, Jordan. With Michael, Raphael (Tobias’ sons prior to the marriage), Jaida and Jordan their family was complete. Giving thanks to God, Nadia and Tobias want to elevate their relationship with a new Covenant bond. They want a Sacramental relationship where they can partake completely in all that God bestows upon them. So, August 17th 2019 they will celebrate with you as witnesses to cement this Covenant forever, never to be broken.
