There were many things that I dreamt of when it came to my wedding day, and having my big sister beside me was always part of it! Although my sister always tried to convince me that I was found under a coconut tree (which seemed very true since we were two opposite little girls), we still had each other’s back. She has always been there to advise me (and sometimes set me straight) and love me no matter how melodramatic I was. She is my Phoebe to my Monica and has made my time as a fiancé so much fun and exciting (even though I am not in control of her sneaky plans!).

Maher has known me quite literally my entire life. Only a few years separate us, but he can recall the day I was born, and everyday since then, has been there for me no matter what I have needed. I learned many things from watching him and growing up with him. Not only has our brotherly bond always been strong, but he has also been a great friend too. I can't imagine not having him by my side on one of the most important days of my life!

My cousin Rhea and I have always been there for each other throughout many of life’s milestones. Although she moved to Florida as a kid, we were so fortunate to spend many summer and Christmas breaks together. I always knew I could call her or log into MSN and catch her up on the latest pre-teen drama. From playing Power Rangers, performing Spice Girls routines, to getting through the teenage years, heartbreaks and all blurry moments in between, we were tackling it together. I couldn’t imagine going through this milestone without her by myside!

As my oldest brother, Ram has always been someone I have looked up to for always setting the standard for us! Knowing Ram was always quietly watching my back has instilled an extra confidence in me that has lasted with me until today! My whole life Ram has been there to give sage advice and wisdom, be a tie breaking vote when Maher and I argued, or to help me hone my jumpshot on the basketball court. I am very lucky to have 2 amazing brothers that put the 'best' in best men!

Chhorvy and I were soul sisters far before Kareem and I got engaged!! From the moment I met her, she was so warm, welcoming and knew how to crush a BigMac!! Throughout my relationship with Kareem, Chhorvy and I bonded over Christmas movies, FRIENDS, food and navigating the Albasel brother psyche. Both Maher and Chhorvy have been so supportive and always treated me like family. From many moves between Hamilton and St. Catharines, to helping with the engagement and wedding planning, I am forever grateful to them. Chhorvy has been there from the beginning, middle and now the end of a chapter. I’m thrilled to have her (and her little family) part of our new beginning!

Do you remember that annoying student in your first year university class who would keep raising their hand, questioning the professor and was very distracting? Well that's exactly how I met Kith! It was not long before we realized we had more than just classes in common. Our friendship almost immediately turned into a brotherhood. Navigating our university years together made those years even more special than I could have imagined. Kith always put his friends needs above his own, going so far as to recommending me for the job that led me to meet one Miss Nadia Butchey! To say the least, I owe a lot to him!
